Pasay City West High School (PCWHS) celebrated a commendable achievement as its talented students secured 3rd place in the TikTok Jingle Writing contest during the Pasay City 4th Fire Square Competition held at Cuneta Astrodome on March 10, 2023.

Representing Grade 10 – Einstein, the winning team comprised Delfin C. Angeles III, Shawn Russell S. Parreno, Cy Roldan A. Ravago, and Kian Archel E. Magadia. Their creative efforts were nurtured and guided by Mr. Ireneo Macaspag, the head of the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (SDRRMC).

In a highly competitive elimination round, PCWHS, along with San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation Incorporation and Pasay City National High School, emerged as the top three schools. While San Juan De Dios claimed the 1st place, PCNHS secured the 2nd position, with PCWHS proudly attaining the 3rd spot.

The esteemed event was graced by the presence of notable personalities, including FSSupt Roberto D. Samillano Jr., the Regional Chief Directorial Staff, and FSSupt Flor-Ian A. Guerrero, the District Fire Marshal. Supt Mariano S. Taguiam, the City Fire Marshal, alongside officers from the Bureau of Fire Protection of the National Capital Region, also took part in the celebration. Pasay City Mayor Imelda “Emi” Rubiano Calixto graced the affair with her presence, making the event all the more special and meaningful.
The victory reflects PCWHS’s commitment to nurturing the creativity and talents of its students, providing them with opportunities to shine in various artistic pursuits. The school takes pride in its students’ achievements and continues to foster an environment that encourages excellence and innovation.
