Pasay City West High School student-athletes showed their supremacy in some events of the Division Palaro 2019.

Westian hoopers Kyle Isaac Cielo, Clarence Louis Damian, Cy Ruff Ungad and John Christopher Olayres ruled the 3×3 basketball. They toppled the cagers of  Arellano University (Jose Abad Santos Campus) with a score of 17-11. Mr. Cedrick U. Ballan coached the team.

A number of students also had their glorious moment in table tennis. The duo of Carille M. Correche and Aubrey Pajela emerged as champion in doubles girl’s division. Correche partnered with Jemrick Sabuero to land at third place in mix doubles. Sabuero took another bronze with his partner Jhesus Zairel Peralta in doubles boy’s division. Finally, Rustanette Acuavera and Allyssa Lafuente gave the school another bronze medals in singles girl’s division. Miss Juliet Brioso coached the table tennis team.

Ashley Caldito made her coach Kharisma Giron Sim proud by winning the silver medal in 9 ball billiards.  In gymnastics, Pasay City West High School was declared team champion in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG). Members of the RG division are Melanie Dicdican, Larien Jane Lopez. and KC Nathalie Roma.

The school’s male kickers were able to defend their crown in Sepak Takraw when they lorded the Takraw boys of Pasay City South HS. But the girls came out short and surrendered the crown to PCSHS.

The following gymnasts earned medals: Sean Niroh Mateo, gold (MAG); Maria Celine Hipolito, bronze (WAG); Lopez and Roma, silver (individual all around) and Diidican, bronze (individual all around).
