The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) has cited teachers across the country for their outstanding service in Scouting. Dr. Loreta B. Torrecampo, Pasay City Schools Division superintendent, together with two Pasay City West High school teachers and Scouters John Francis Octaviano and Gener Eugenio Jr. received meritorious award from Boy Scouts of the Philippines on Aug. 5, 2021 at Apelo Cruz Elementary School.

Conferred on Torrecampo is Gold USA Award in a National Court of Honor Ceremony while Octaviano and Eugenio Jr. received the Bronze USA Award.

Bronze USA Award is a National Award given to Adult leaders who made the following: 

1.Significant accomplishments and contributions as well as the meritorious and continuous outstanding services rendered to scouting;

2. Has contributed to registering of 2500 Scouts in his unit and continuously contributing in the increase of membership; and

3. Continuously exhibits in his action the ideals of Scouting.

Araling Panlipunan teacher in Pasay City West High School, Octaviano has previously awarded a Woodbadge Holder in scouting because of his course completion for Managers of Learners Training. Eugenio, on the other hand is a Practical Arts teacher in the same school. There are now three Bronze USA Medal awardees who come from PCWHS. Sctr. Hector P. Villareal, also from Practical Arts department has previously received the meritorious award.
