Marie Louise Anne J. Mercado, a Grade 10 student from Rizal, achieved an impressive 2nd Place in the prestigious Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) held at Rizal High School from April 25 to April 27, 2024. Mercado, guided by her mentor Celia L. Singcol, showcased outstanding proficiency and creativity in the LINGO STAR-SPFL Mandarin Language Exposition category.

The RFOT, an annual event aimed at fostering and recognizing the talents of students across various disciplines, drew participants from all over the region. The competition in the Mandarin Language Exposition was particularly fierce, highlighting the increasing interest and competency in foreign languages among young learners.

Mercado’s success is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and the excellent guidance provided by Singcol. Their collaboration not only brought pride to their school but also underscored the importance of language education in today’s globalized world.

The event, which spanned three days, featured a wide array of talent showcases, from linguistic and literary contests and artistic performances. Participants had the opportunity to display their skills, learn from their peers, and gain valuable experiences.
