Sun Life Financial, a prominent financial institution, demonstrated its commitment to education by generously donating 60 units of second-hand laptops to Pasay City West High School on March 21, 2023. The laptops were formally turned over to the school’s principal, Mr. Peter R. Cannon Jr., during a heartwarming ceremony held at Sun Life’s head office in Bonifacio Global City.

Expressing deep gratitude, Mr. Cannon Jr. extended his thanks on behalf of the entire school community, which comprises 7,604 students, 210 junior and senior high school teachers, and 22 non-teaching personnel. He assured Sun Life that the laptops would be put to optimal use to enhance learning experiences for all. Sun Life Financial donated 60 units of second-hand laptops to Pasay City West High School on March 21, 2023.

Ms. Laura Money, Executive Vice-President and Chief Information and Technology Innovation Officer of Sun Life Financial, also addressed the audience during the event. She highlighted the challenges involved in the laptop donation process, emphasizing the significance of sustainability and diversity in Sun Life’s values.

The donation of laptops forms a vital part of Sun Life Financial’s Corporate Social Responsibility Act, demonstrating the company’s dedication to empowering education and supporting communities in need. Through this initiative, Sun Life contributes to the advancement of learning opportunities for thousands of students at Pasay City West High School.
