Division Of Pasay City through the support the Local Government of Pasay and Mayor Imelda “Emi“ Calixto-Rubiano will be sending three selected Senior High School students as participants in the 7^th Singapore Open Pencak Silat Championship 2019. The sports event which will be held at Heartbreak@Bedok , ActiveSG Sports Hall, Singapore  on August 7-9, 2019 is organized by Singapore Silat Federation and sanctioned by International Pencak Silat Federation ( PENSILAT).

Participants to this Indonesian contact sports are Julie Anne D. Quilang- Bronze Medallist for Pencak Silat in PALARONG PAMBANSA 2019 in Davao City; NCR  Meet 2019 winners Jeselle G. Victoria ( Over-all Champion for Wushu – Girls Division) and  John Patrick Manlapaz (Wushu -Gold Medalist). Leading the Team Pasay to victory is Head Coach Ronie H. Aranas.

In an interview, Jeselle Victoria, a grade 12 HUMSS student, said “We are blessed to have this sport in our City and even more to compete in an international tournament. I am very excited! This chance is made possible by our supportive School Principal Dr. Myrna B. Gaza, Mayor Emi Calixto and, of course our Coach Ronie. We will do our best to bring home the victory for our family, school and, Pasay City. I believe that this tournament will not only help us develop our skills but will also serve as a great experience for learning. ”
