In line with the observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) with the theme of “Katarungan para sa Kalusugan, Kalusugan para sa Katarungan”, the Dangerous Drug Board of the Philippines spearheaded a number of drug symposiums in various school divisions in Metro Manila.

The Local Government of Pasay, in coordination with Sangguniang Kabataan officers said the said symposium in Pasay City West High School on June 27, 2019 at the school gym. Students from the Senior High school as well as the classes of Grade 9-Aguinaldo and Grade 10 Rizal attended the drug-awareness activity.

Part of the event is the Spoken Word Poetry competition. Winners of the said competition: Jullia Christine Garbo (HUMSS 12-2), champion; Ma. Franchesca Valerio (HUMSS 12-1), 1^st runner; and Karen Joy V. Caubalejo (HUMMS 12-1), 2^nd runner. The winners received certificate of participation and cash prizes of ₱3,000, ₱2,000 and ₱1,000 respectively.
