To promote awareness on adolescent health and responsible sexuality, Pasay City West High School held teen forum at the school gym on March 7, 2019.
The activity was done through the concerted effort Philippine National Police-Officer’s Ladies Club’s (PNPOLC) Kamay-Kaagapay, National Capital Regional Police Office –OLC (NCRPO-OLC), Commission on Population and Development (PopCom), Soroptimist International, PNP Two Hearts, Chaplain Service and Southern Police District.
Present in the event were PBGen Eliseo Cruz, SPD District Director; Mrs. Rosalie Eleazar, wife of NCRPO Chief Major General Guillermo Eleazar; Letlet Cruz, wife PBGen. Cruz; Nening Mamauag from PCPT; officers and members of NCRPO-OLC; Lydio Espaṅol, PopCom NCR director; Dr. Myrna B. Gaza, principal; Mrs. Nida D. Raagas, Guidance Coordinator; Department heads Mrs. Elizabeth Liberty L. Villanueva, Home Economics; Ms. Lucinda Monton, MAPEH; and Mrs. Socorro C. Domingo, Araling Panlipunan; Grade 8 teachers and female Grade 8 students.
Guest speakers Espaṅol and Mamauag talked about the importance of responsible sexuality and the rights of the children respectively; Participants of the forum received token of appreciation such as rosary, whistle and sanitary pads. Students were also given free lunch. Emcees of the event are OLC members Marijo Bondoc and Ma’am Loannie Pinon.
