Pasay City West High School joined the 33rd International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) held at Roxas Blvd. and SM Mall of Asia By the Bay on September 22, 2018.

Representing the school are SSG officers, CIC officers and members, GSP, and other student-volunteers. Joining the students are Mrs. Arlen Joy T. Jacob, SSG adviser, Mrs. Susana Cunanan and Mrs. Gina Mendoza. Together with other students, volunteers, and representatives of government agencies, Westians, Students, volunteers, and representatives of government agencies gathered the trash that built up on the seaside along Roxas Blvd. in Pasay City.

Themed Building a Clean Swell for Future Generations, the ICCD was originally scheduled on September 15, 2018 but moved one week later because of the typhoon Ompong. After the cleanup, organizers said that plastic amassed most of the collected garbage – most of which were single-use food packaging, personal care and household products.
