Pasay City West High School TLE celebrated Nutrition Month 2025 for the whole month of July 2025. With the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!” The month-long event was filled with engaging and educational activities that promoted the importance of healthy eating and proper nutrition among students. The celebration also aimed to establish an effective and progressive approach to improving students’ skills, knowledge, and competencies.
The event was spearheaded by Mr. Giovanni Rex T. Sorita, TLE Department Head, and TLE Teachers, in collaboration with the Senior High School TVL Department. Varied activities were featured in the celebration. To wit: Nutri-Quiz Bee was held on July 11, 2025, where students showcased their knowledge on nutrition and healthy living. Students’ creativity, both on digital platforms and on canvas, was put on display during the Infographics and Poster Making Contests held on July 16. Thereafter, the school launched its Feeding Program on July 29. This program aims to support the nutritional needs of selected students from Grades 7 & 8. On that same date, a Cooking Demonstration, which focused on promoting healthy yet affordable meals to students and parents, was held. An exhibit of innovative projects and outputs of both JHS and SHS students was held through the students in the TLE-TVL Fair on July 31. Finally, a culinary competition among students, Teachers, grade-level coordinators, and non-teaching personnel was held through a Cook-Off Contest on August 1.
Winners of the different contests received a Certificate of recognition, while the participants were given a Certificate of participation during the Closing Program.
Participants of the said activities were recognized by giving certificates to the winners and non-winners during the Closing Program. The success of the celebration was made possible through the strong support of the School Principal, Mr. Agapito Teodoro N. Manaog, the presence of Dr. Ramil Dorol, EPS-EPP/TLE/TVL, the two Assistant Principals, Mrs. Ena R. Tamayo & Mrs. Rosa Alferez, and the active participation of the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff and students of Pasay City West High School.
