Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led tha oath taking ceremony of the new General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) of Pasay City West High School on Aug. 9, 2019 at the Mayor’s office.            The sworn officers are: Jocelyn C. Gonzales, president; Marife B. Lizardo, vice-president; Rommel L. Macatiag and Jofrey E. Gabon, secretaries; Hector D. Bongat, treasurer; Jonalyn M. Miranda, auditor; Ayeth D. Ong-Maranan, public information officer; and Nelda Rotairo, business manager.

Acting as board directors are the grade level representatives. They are: Nancy Z. Cumayas (Gr. 7), Marissa M. Famorcan (Gr. 8), Dorothy Ongchua (Gr.9), Lucial W. Manio (Gr.10), Mary Flor Olasco (Gr.11), Fernando E. Rivera (Gr.12), and Maria Anita E. Hembra (OHSP). Also acting as board directors from the teachers are: John Francis l. Octaviano (Gr.7), Piedad O. Diola (Gr.8), Susana Cunanan (Gr.9), Rowena Salvio (Gr.10), Mayorico Apelado (Gr.11), Rodolfo Del Rosario (OHSP) and Arlene Joy T. Jacob (SSG Coordinator).

The following are the committee chairpersons: Thelma T. Laguor (ways and means), Josephine M. Manuel (finance),Ma. Victoria Closa ( projects and programs) Arleen Velasco (grievance), Billy O. Roda (external and community affairs), and Betty Jane Rillo (audit).

The GPTA has always been in support to PCWHS. For the last school year, the association has done the following projects: installation of LED lights at the school gym; repair and replacement of two busted speakers; donation for the teachers’ and learners’ kit; share for the installation of split type air condition units of the Values Education department; repaint of school grotto, support Brigada Eskwela, Boy/Girl scout and other school organizations, school activities; and purchase of two units projectors, one unit of cross over DBX and compressor speaker limiter, six units of stand fan with extension wire. AS of now, the GPTA has proposed projects all waiting for DepEd Pasay’s approval.
