Pasay City West High School students aced the 2019 Division Science Technology Fair with their innovative researches at Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School October 11, 2019.

The school was declared over-all champion in the junior high school category with the string of winners which mostly came from the Science Investigatory Project competitions.

Winners in the group contest include Christel Deuna, Jhon Lloyd Grencio, and Ezra Espanola with their study “Isolation and Characterization of Silver Nanoparticles (Ag NPs) from Papaya Extract” (1st place – Life Science ); Carl Jonathan Munoz, Don Marco Montalban, and Joyce Myca Erestain with their study “Water Repellency and Strength of Oil- based Resin treated Hydrophobic Paper Utilizing Valencia Peanut Shell Oils”  (1st place – Physical Science); Francine Ysabelle Fugoso, Timothy James Crisolo, and Pauline Ludovice with their study “ Design and Evaluation of Smart Wheeled care for visually Impaired Individual” , (1st place in SIE and RIM); and Dominic Ogale, Russel De Castro, and Jabez Pugay, with their study Lab-scale Bioremediation of Petroleum Sludge using Bacillus Subtilis Bio- augmented Activated Sludge System” (3rd place – Physical Science).,

In the individual category the following emerged as winners: Maria Jeanarey Beringuel with her study “Analysis of Collagen from Milkfish Scale using FTIR analysis”  (1st place – Life Science); Dwight Ciervo with his study “Engineering a Mechanical Generator Water Well Attachment with Activated Charcoal and Coconut Shell Water Filters” (2nd place – Physical Science); Josea Mari Gacutno with her study “Chemical and Morphological Analysis of  Wax Worm influenced by Wheat Bran” (2nd place – Life Science); and Yvan Mitz Villegas with her study “Efficiency of Tin Can as an Alternative Air Intake Gas Saver in Estimating Vehicle Fuel Consumption and Temperature” (1st place- SIM  and 3rd place in PSI).
